I am close to the musical circle but also a musician myself; for me, "musical art" and "pictorial art" combine and mix with each other on the canvas.
I impregnate myself with music when I paint. In particular, pieces composed during the 20th century enable me to create, to "imprint".
My paintings are often displayed while the music is heard. In 2005, I have illustrated the Incantations and the Ascèses for flute by André Jolivet.
I worked on the Five Miniatures by Philippe Hersant. The pictorial metamorphosis they inspired are presented below under the name Géominiatures.
People are more and more interested by this specific process. So, I created a painting after the trio for flute, alto and harp by the Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina Garden of Joys and Sorrows.
More recently, an order enabled me to work on Piotr Tchaikovsky's 6th symphony called Pathétique.
Right now, it is a painting based on the music of Astor Piazzolla that has been requested.
